Indigicare Medicines offers access to this List of Over the Counter items that are 100% covered for free by National Indigenous Health Benefits (Plan W) without a prescription.    

• No Rx is required for these items (free of charge) with the NIHB Benefits (Plan W).  People can visit or email us, provide their Pharmacare Plan W card and access what they need.  

• Other health benefit plans, might cover some of these Over the Counter items with a prescription from a Physician or NP.

• If people do not have health benefit coverage and are paying out of pocket, our OTC items are much cheaper than drug stores!

Indigicare Medicines is an Indigenous-owned pharmacy offering a unique approach to care. We weave together Indigenous traditional knowledge and healing practices with Western medicine to create a culturally safe and respectful space where everyone, especially our Indigenous community, is supported and cared for.

This ground-breaking pharmacy was created with the community’s guidance. Over several years, we listened, learned, and worked with over 300 people—including Elders, Indigenous doctors, and holistic healers—to understand what a safe and welcoming Indigenous pharmacy should be. Our services and operations will continue to grow and adapt to meet the community’s needs.
